Install

Install self-hosted AFFiNE by first checking host requirements, then using Docker Compose, which is the recommended deployment method. After installation, create the first admin account and review configuration and upgrade guidance before inviting users.

Install flow

1. Confirm CPU, memory, storage, Postgres, Redis, and monitoring requirements.
2. Download the official Docker Compose and .env files.
3. Set persistent data locations and a strong database password before the first start.
4. Start AFFiNE and validate it in a browser.
5. Create the first admin account.
6. Configure domain, HTTPS, backups, email, OAuth, storage, and monitoring as needed.
