Collections
Collections are basically “smart folders” for docs in current AFFiNE, with which you can use rules to select from tags and other properties from Doc info, or simply manually select files to classify them. In the coming version of AFFiNE, collections will be special databases blocks in your docs. For now, the database is the “rule based block manager” and the collection is a “rule based page manager”.
Create collections
You can directly create a collection by clicking ”+” in the sidebar collections area.
Convert filters to new collections
You can also create a new collection directly by clicking “Save as New Collection” after adding filters in All docs, with the existing filters serving as the rules for the new Collection.
Manually add docs to collections
You can manually add the desired docs to collections just like you would with regular folders.
Add smart rules to collections
Rules can be understood as filters; docs that meet the rules will be automatically added to the current collection.
