Page Mode
The blocks in AFFiNE are interchangeable. You can use the text block to make up a linear doc just like how you does it in Notion or Google Docs, and you can also use the text block with images, shapes and layouts to make a slide in edgeless mode.
Each AFFiNE doc comes with Page Mode and Edgeless Mode. The Page Mode is just a linear, responsive page that always fits to your screen and is good to read. The Edgeless Mode is a limitless spatial canvas where you can put any block of any size on it. You may use it for mindmaps, presentations and visual collaboration.

Order of blocks in two modes
The reading order of AFFiNE Docs is preserved both in page and edgeless mode. The number under each note in the edgeless mode indicates the order of reading notes.
You can also always check or change this infomation with the right side bar.
Specifically, the order of frames are presented with the second tab.
Visibility management
You can always display any text blocks that created in paper mode on your edgeless mode and you can always insert graphic frames & groups into pages. Sometimes, you don’t necessaily always want the content on two side. For example, when you made a slide on the edgeless mode, you may not want the text blocks you used there to show up in your paper mode. This can be achieved by the visibility control panel:
