Workspaces

A workspace contains several docs and multiple mambers. You can have multiple workspaces for different subjects and you can invite people into workspaces to collaborate.

Types of Workspaces

Workspaces are divided into Local Workspace and Cloud Workspace. The former is only stored on the current device, while the latter, based on AFFiNE Cloud, can achieve cross-device synchronization and real-time collaboration with multiple people. You can set your workspace type according to your needs.

How to enable AFFiNE Cloud for a Workspace

In the workspace settings, you can enable the AFFiNE Cloud service for the current workspace. Before enabling, you need to register and log in to an AFFiNE Cloud account.

How to invite others to join my workspace

In the members area of the workspace settings, you can invite others to join the current workspace via email. The invited person will receive a confirmation email, and they need to click “accept & join” to truly become a member.

Export and import Workspace data

Local Workspace

Pro Workspace

A pro workspace will backup your files and sync them to AFFiNE Cloud, which is used to keep all your client updated with latest change. Besides the backup and sync, pro workspace on AFFiNE cloud also introduce extra cloud-based features like unified page history, better permission control, comments with notifications and online templates.
